On March 29th, the kukeri collective at Community Center "St.st. Cyril and Methodius", Rakovski, will be representing the tradition of Shrovetide before the audience at Popintsi. The 12th Annual Folklore Festival of Masquerade and Kukeri Dances will take place, in which groups kukeri groups from every corner of Bulgaria will participate.
Next week again will be full of children’s crafts and fantasies. In anticipation of the coming Easter, kids will paint and decorate Easter eggs with materials purchased by the sale of martenitsi made by the kids at the end of February.

About the Community Center
- Community Center St.st. Cyril and Methodius, Rakovski , Plovdiv, Bulgaria
- The community center was established on December 20, 1908 by a group of vigillant local intellectuals. The first persident of the community center was an EMT of sorts named Giorgi Lazarov Michev. The community center's first activity was to begin with the collection and inventory of books and the organization of stories, discussion groups, and night school. A year later theaterical, orchestral, and dance groups were formed. In our time, the community center is modernized and provides socially active intellectuals who serve the population of the town and district through an ample series of services, such as supplying information, in the cultural and social sphere.
